MILENA GONZALEZ LAM, LCSW · TELEHEALTH IN FLORIDA + COLORADO

Healing isn't linear. It's a spiral.

You've been here before: the same argument, the same shutdown, the same 2 a.m. spin. But returning to a familiar pattern doesn't mean you're back at the beginning. Each time around, you bring more awareness, perspective, and understanding than you had before.

Therapy, breathwork, and somatic work for people ready to understand what keeps repeating and meet it differently.

Nothing in nature grows in a straight line.

It grows in turns, each one widening your perspective and bringing you back with something new.

That’s what the spiral in my logo represents, and it’s how I understand life, healing, and change.

You may revisit the same feelings, beliefs, or relationship patterns. What changes isn’t always the pattern itself. It’s the perspective you bring back to it, the awareness you’ve gained, and how much more of yourself is available when you meet it again.

There came a point when doing therapy the way I had been taught no longer felt like enough. People could understand their patterns intellectually and still feel caught inside them.

Colibrí gave me room to practice differently—to pay attention to what the body knows, to work with the nervous system, and to make space for approaches that go beyond insight alone.

THE FRAMEWORK

Six turns. One widening perspective.

At the center

Separation

Life happening to me

At the center of the spiral, our perspective can feel very small. We experience ourselves as separate from what is happening around us: this happened to me, this person did this to me, this feeling means something about me. The experience is real. We just can't see very much of it yet.

THE MENU

How we can work together

Individual therapy

Weekly or every other week. Talk therapy that doesn't stay only in talk — we'll track what your body is doing while you tell me, because that's usually where the older information lives.

50 min

Intensive sessions

A season of therapy in one sitting. Useful when the weekly hour keeps ending right as something opens, or when travel, work or capacity make a weekly rhythm unrealistic.

90 · 120 · 150 min

EMDR

For memories that still land in the present tense. Structured, paced, and always inside a container we've built first — offered within regular sessions or as part of an intensive.

Within sessions

Somatic & nervous system work

Learning the difference between a thought and a threat response, and what actually brings you back down. Woven through everything here, or the whole focus if that's what you need.

Woven throughout

Breathwork journeys

Guided breath as a way in when words have stopped being useful. One to one, or in a small group.

Individual & group

Women's workshops & retreats

Small, seasonal gatherings built around breath, movement and the natural cycles most of us are taught to work against.

Seasonal

Clinical consultation

For therapists and helping professionals who want to bring somatic, IFS or breath-based work into their practice — or who are carrying more from the work than they've had a place to put down.

For clinicians

BREATH WORK JOURNEYS

Some things won't be talked loose.

You can understand exactly why you do something and still do it. Insight is not the same as release, and breath reaches places language keeps missing.

A journey is an hour or so of guided, active breathing with music, held from start to finish. What surfaces is different every time: heat, shaking, grief, laughter, a memory you'd forgotten you were carrying, or a stillness you haven't felt in years. Nothing is required of you except to keep breathing and let me look after the rest.

No experience needed. Nothing to prepare. Available on its own, or alongside therapy when we've hit the edge of what words are doing.

ABOUT · MILENA GONZALEZ LAM, LCSW

I stopped practicing by the book. I started practicing by the body.

I spent years practicing inside systems that measured the work in units and sessions and boxes checked. I was good at it. I also wasn't sure I was helping anyone, and I definitely wasn't being myself.

I wanted to practice the way I actually believe healing works: slower, in the body, and outdoors more often than a clinic allows.

So now I do. I bring movement and breath into the room. I talk about seasons and nature and the nervous system, and I bring the evidence base with me, EMDR, IFS, CBT, and somatic work.

I work best with people who are thoughtful and reflective, who suspect their patterns mean something, and who are open to being helped by more than conversation, even if they have no idea where to start.
